It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Christopher Dharmasiri, a distinguished alumnus of St. Anne's College and the first student from our institution to be selected for Medical College. Dr. Dharmasiri peacefully departed from this world on May 9, at the age of 92.
The funeral service of Dr. Dharmasiri will be held on Saturday, May 13. The procession will commence from his residence at 66/1 St. Peter's Road, Moratuwa, at 3.30 PM, proceeding to St. Peter's Church, Koralawella, Moratuwa, where the burial will take place.
He held a deep affection for his alma mater and consistently demonstrated steadfast support for St. Anne's College. Earlier this year, he graced us with his presence, visiting the College that held a special place in his heart. The memory of Dr. Dharmasiri will forever be treasured by the St. Anne's College community.
May his soul Rest in Peace. May he attain the Supreme Bliss of Nibbana.
