    Annite Jubilee Walk postponed

    Dear Annites,

    The Annite Jubilee Walk which was scheduled to be held on 29th of July has been postponed to 5th of August due to the provincial examination.

    Meanwhile the religious program will be held on 4th of August.

    Annites won the 23rd Battle of the Rocks - Limited Encounter

    St. Anne’s College bested Maliyadeva College by 33 runs in the 23rd ‘Battle of the Rocks’ limited overs cricket encounter played at the Welagedara stadium Kurunegala yesterday.

    Maliyadeva won the toss and decided to field. St. Anne’s bowled out for 207 runs in 48.5 overs. Kavindu Ranasinghe scored 54 runs and Wanitha Wanninayake scored 44 runs. Kaveen Maduranga took 3/22. Nishanjaya Hettiarachchi and Pasindu Tennakoon took two wickets each. Maliyadeva bowled out for 174 runs in 45 overs. Dulaj Ranatunge scored 51 runs and Chaluka Athapatthu scored 29 runs. Pasindu Tennakoon took 4/30 and Dhananjaya Bandara took 3/25. Pubudu Ganegama took 2 wickets.

  • St. Anne’s College Inaugurates 150 th Jubilee

    Jubilee Year Inaugurated

    Most. Rev. Dr. Herald Anthony Perera, the Bishop of Kurunegala, presiding at the inauguration of the 150 th Jubilee Celebrations of St. Anne’s College Kurunegala stressed that the excellent past record of achievements of the College should inspire the younger Annites to forge ahead with a purpose using the new facilities provided for them at College. He thanked the De La Salle Brothers for the great contribution made towards the high standard of Discipline, Education and Extra Circular Activities maintained at College.

    Rev. Br. A. E. Tarcisius welcomed the eminent guests and invited them to unveil the jubilee icons of Jubilee Flag, Logo, Programme, Web Site and Song. Rev. Bro. Christy Croos, the provincial Visitor of DeLa Salle Brothers, Most Rev. Dr. Kumara Illangasinghe, the retired Bishop of Church of Ceylon - Kurunegala and a distinguish gathering of past pupils attended the function held at the College premises.

    The jubilee activities of the College will begin on Friday 28 th July, 2017 with religious services. On Saturday 29 th July the Jubilee walk will begin from the college. Thereafter jubilee activities are lined up till the end of 2018 by the College supported by the Past Pupils.
