Happy 135th anniversary to Maliyadeva College
It's a big day for our brothers at Maliyadeva College. 135 years ago, on a day like this, they marked their beginning. Today, as they celebrate this milestone, we, the St. Anne's College family, extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes. May the enduring brotherhood and goodwill that has united our Colleges for over a century continue to thrive for all time to come. Happy 135th anniversary!

Old Boys Association: 2023 General Meeting and Get Together
The St. Anne's College Old Boys' Association will hold this year's General Meeting on Saturday, August 5th, commencing from 3 PM at the College premises.
Following the General Meeting, a Get Together is arranged, scheduled to begin at 7 PM on the same day. The venue for this gathering is the Hotel Blue Sky. To partake in the evening's function, a contribution of Rs. 2,500/= per person will apply, which will also cover the dinner. This event presents an excellent opportunity for our members to reinforce the cherished Annite brotherhood and foster camaraderie.
Both the General Meeting and the Get Together are exclusive to the members of the Old Boys Association (OBA). We kindly request all attendees to make a note of their OBA membership number, as it will be necessary for certain activities during the events.
For those who are former students of St. Anne's College and are not yet OBA members, you can apply for the membership on or before August 5th.
We look forward to seeing you all there!

Our most cherished brotherhood once again on display
Last time, in the midst of a pandemic that forced long-distance online learning across the country, the College hostel was the residence of only a few students, including 8 who sat for that year's Advanced Level Exam. Guess what, they all did well in their exams and ended up getting selected for universities. As the next exam approaches, they are now doing everything they can to make sure that their younger brothers finish with success as well.
Brotherhood is one of the most cherished Annite values and this has been seen time and time again and here is one of those moments.
Great job, boys! You are setting an excellent example.
The above embedded Instagram post contains a meme that includes photographs taken from the Rev. Bro. Roshan Dias, who is in charge of College Hostel.

The tragic death of Peshan Warnasooriya and Tharindu Herath
We are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Aircraft Engineer and Flying Officer Peshan Warnasooriya from the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF), who was an alumnus of St. Anne's College.
The tragic incident occurred when the trainer aircraft carrying Peshan crashed shortly after takeoff from the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy in China Bay, Eastern Province. Also on board was Wing Commander Tharindu Herath, an alumnus of our neighboring Maliyadeva College, who faced the same fate as Peshan.
He was an old boy from the 2015 batch and joined the Sri Lanka Air Force just 2 years after leaving the College. He also completed his higher education at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
Peshan, as an Air Force officer, soared the skies above to keep us safe on the ground. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, just as the vast sky above.
May the brave souls of our dear Peshan Warnasooriya and Tharindu Herath from Maliyadeva Rest in Peace and attain the Supreme Bliss of Nibbana. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of both as we offer our final tributes.
